During El Nino events, there is a disruption in the normal atmospheric circulation leading to changes in rainfall patterns, temperature distributions, and other climatic variables. It can result in droughts, floods, and other extreme weather events in various regions around the globe.
El Nino has profound effects on agriculture, water resources, ecosystems, and economies, and therefore, preparations and mitigation strategies are necessary to minimize its potential impacts. (ANTARA)
